2017 Finalist, Susan Mozeson, Opera Division

Dramatic Soprano Susan Mozeson is an alumni of the Juilliard School of Music and graduated with a B.A. in Music from Lehman College for the Performing Arts. At the age of 18 she won the prestigious Minna Kaufmann Ruud Voice Scholarship and was a finalist in the Opera Music Theatre International Competition.  She has performed with opera companies in the roles of Santuzza, Tosca, Mother/Sandman(Hansel and Gretel) Donna Anna(Don Giovanni) and others. She premiered in “The Village Singer” as Minnie Lansing with Operaworks.  She has extensive experience as a church soloist, oratorio, and sang in concerts to raise money for children with special needs. After taking off years of singing to take care of her autistic special needs son, she is now taking voice lessons with Carol Yahr and coaches with Joshua Greene. Susan is the Vice President of the New York Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon.
